TOOLS
Basic Hand Saw Set (3 Saws)
The basic saws Ron recommends for those starting out in woodworking, or for seasoned
woodworkers who just want a few good tools, are the 8 and 10 crosscut saws and a 5 or 5 1/2
rip saw. This bundle of three saws will include saws sharpened and tuned by Ron, who also
includes details of their provenance and each saw's 'report card,' a strip of wood cut by each
saw to show the quality of its cut. These saws will all be of some antiquity but will be in
excellent useable shape, and may include Disston, Adkins, or other saws (selection may vary).
For web site questions or comments, please email web@woodworkingwithron.com
A saw won't work well if it's dull, plus it will just plain wear you out
trying to use it! WWR will sharpen your saws and return them to
you with a note on their provenance (WWR will type the saw for
you and give you its age range and any interesting facts about the
saw) and that saw's 'report card,' a strip of wood cut with the saw
after it has been sharpened, to show the quality of its cut. Drop
them off at the shop in central Ohio, or ship them in.
